United Way of Acadiana’s Women United is presenting the 2018 Women Who Mean Business Awards on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at the River Oaks Ballroom at 6:30 pm. This annual event is highly anticipated by the community and United Way is honored to have been asked to continue the tradition. 2013 award recipient and Executive Director of Cité des Arts, Maureen Brennan, says, “It was such a thrill to be included. My daughter was there when I received the award and it was the first time she had really heard my story. The community had welcomed me when I was really struggling and helped me move forward to where I am now. Women Who Mean Business was full of remarkable stories and I made valuable connections that day with other women who had a goal, moved toward it and didn’t stop. Those stories continue to inspire me today.”
This year's honorees are:
Deiadra Garrett, MD
Natalie Harder, PhD
