United Way Adopt-A-School - Lafayette Parish

The United Way Adopt-A-School program creates, mobilizes and fosters a grassroots connection between schools and business and private sectors of Lafayette Parish. The program provides a direct link between the community, work-world and the classroom. Through this partnership, we engage corporate partners, nonprofits, churches, civic groups and individual volunteers in programs and activities that support teachers, administrators and students.

For example, Home Bank has adopted Northside High School, and here's what they had to say about the partnership: "Our company is a community partner, and that means the entire community. We believe there should be no failing schools in Lafayette. We believe in Northside, and we’re excited to work with the passionate administrators and educators there to help the Class of 2015 and beyond."
