CRISIS RESPONSE GRANTS AWARDED:
LPSS Student Services — $15,000: Fund will be used to purchase uniforms, backpacks, school
St. Martin Council on Aging — $5,000; Funds will be used for the purchase of necessary appliances,
cleaning supplies, food/water, medicines, hygiene items, clothing, etc.
Imani Temple #49 of the African-American Catholic Congregation — $5,000; Funds will be used for
transportation, emergency shelter and medication.
St. Barnabas — $10,000; Funds will be used to purchase gift cards for sheet rock, cabinets, flooring,
or small appliances as needed.
Acadiana Outreach Center — $8,000: Funds will be used for deductibles, medication, replace
document fees and rental utility deposits.
Rebuilding Together Acadiana & Lafayette Habitat for Humanity — $2,600: Funds will be used to
assist with the muck and gut process.
Second Harvest Food Bank of Greater New Orleans and Acadiana — $32,000; Funds will be used to
purchase family food boxes to deliver to affected families at $5/day per family over 20 days.
Spirit of Faith Church — $7,000: Funds will be used to assist with temporary housing and clean up
efforts along with mold remediation.
Progressive Community Outreach Center Inc. — $5,000; Funds will be used to purchase food for
meals to be provided.
SMILE — $42,000: Funds will be used to provide emergency assistance, including rent, mortgage,
utility assistance, transportation, food and supplies.
FoodNet — $12,000: Funds will be used to purchase food to fill food bags.
American Red Cross — $10,000: Funds will be used to purchase cleanup kits.
