United Way of Acadiana funds programs and leads public awareness efforts to help hard-working, low-income families increase income through job training opportunities, access qualifying Earned Income Tax Credits and provide opportunities to increase financial literacy.

United Way of Acadiana charges a processing fee of 10% for donations made to specific agencies and United Ways outside of the service delivery area to recover expenses related to fundraising, management and uncollectibles.
