In support of
the PACT United, which invests donations in three different issue areas, United
Way of Acadiana will accept proposals from nonprofit organizations in Acadia,
Lafayette, St. Martin and Vermilion parishes that address the following:
1. Education:
Helping children graduate from high school.
2. Earnings: Helping families and individuals
become financially stable.
3. Essentials: Helping people meet their basic needs.
Organizations submitting a proposal
must have an IRS 501(c)3 tax-exempt status, outline programs that work with
target populations to achieve long-term goals identified and be able to
demonstrate the ability to implement and evaluate programmatic outcomes.
Proposals are due to United Way of
Acadianas office no later than 4:00 PM on Thursday, September 30, 2010. Funding is open to all qualified
nonprofits.

process for 2011 program funding. Click
